A Winter's Tale at the Knoxville Zoo
All photos shot with Olympus 3040 in program mode, flash turned off, lens extended to maximum telephoto. All are cropped to 1/2 or less of full shot. It was late afternoon on a sunny day.
Spring has come to East Tennessee. About time.
River Otter. This was shot through a plexiglass barrier. It is cropped to about 1/4 of the full photo.
The 3040 HATES shooting into a bright sky. It fringes purple. Sky was a beautiful cloudless blue. The fuzzy brown thing is a black bear.
Another taken through plexiglass barrier. Sun was so bright outside, I couldn't really see them until I took the picture. Penguins were about 15 feet back from the barrier.
Looks a lot like my former boss.
Prairie Dogs. These two were shot through plexiglass barrier.
Shot over the fence without the barrier.
